Train where the mountains are
Training & Courses in Hunza
HimKa is based in Karimabad, Hunza, with glaciers, ice and rock close by. Learn rope work, glacier travel and crevasse rescue on real Karakoram terrain with local guides, typically for much less than a comparable course in Europe or North America.

Why Train in Hunza
Real terrain
Glaciers, rock, and ice within a short drive of Karimabad — not a climbing gym or a dry-land simulation.
Local expertise
Instructors born and raised in these mountains, who guide the Karakoram's 8,000m peaks professionally.
Building local capacity
Our high-altitude guide and porter course trains the next generation of mountain professionals from Hunza and the surrounding valleys.
